Steve Naghavi is the lead singer and main member of the band. Although he performs in both German and English, he is originally from Tehran, Iran. However, he is unable to return to his home country. The band was formed in 1989 and combines elements of EBM, synthpop, and new wave.

Many of their songs are often satirical and often mock social norms, authority, or conformity. They also take inspiration from the band Depeche Mode and their "latest" album is called Trilogie from 2014. For some of their concerts RROYCE is their opening act!
